Lee originally from Scotland discovered a natural ability for photography whilst travelling through Asia with a second hand Canon 35mm SLR camera his father gave him. The diversity of the people and landscapes he passed through inspired him to experiment with composition, lighting and technique allowing him to grow and improve as a photographer. While living in New Zealand, Lee took his passion of photography to another level inspired by the natural beauty that is Aotearoa. This involved learning the technical intricacies of photography as well as developing his technique based on lessons learnt in experimentation.
Lee always felt his home was in Australia and has since been living there, basing himself in Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches. His extensive portfolio is forever growing as finds time to travel the massive continent that is Australia and overseas in New Zealand.

All images are taken using a variety of techniques with a preference of getting it right ‘in camera’ rather than via post processing.
Lee uses graduation filters to obtain a balanced exposure giving his images a greater dynamic range. Post processing is a necessary part of Lee’s workflow as he shoots exclusively in RAW. Post processing includes tweaking of levels, colours and sharpening to better represent the scene in a true manner.
Lee has exhibited in both Australia and internationally including prestigious venues such as Sydney’s Parliament House. Please subscribe to his news letter for details on future events.
