PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE (PRIVATE & GROUP)
Learn how to get the most from your digital SLR and shoot your very own stunning photography, Lee now provides group and private photography lessons. Each course is tailored to teach skills and techniques to everyone from the absolute novice to the proficient photographer. The skills you will learn are transferable between photographic genres and not limited to landscapes. So if you want to shoot great holiday snaps, stunning family photos or even some landscapes this course will get you up to speed.

Photography courses can be conducted throughout Australia but for the most part are be based in and around Manly/Northern Beaches or Circular Quay, Sydney. Students have the option of either two midweek three hour evening sessions (summer only) or a weekend six hour day course. Both include multiple ‘hands on’ sessions where you will put into practice what Lee teaches you. These sessions are invaluable in the learning process and really help to apply your knowledge in real life situations.

Prices start at $245 per person for group tuition (maximum of six students) or $445 for private tuition.

Photography Course

What you get:

COURSE LITERATURE covering photographic basics, tips and tricks compiled from several years of learning, experimentation and lessons learnt. Delivered to students before commencing the course the book contains information you may otherwise forget from the day. Reading the book before taking the course will allow students to refine the information they wish to cover on the day concentrating on the aspects they least understand. Don’t worry if you don’t understand any of it, Lee will cover it in detail on the day.

SIX HOURS OF PRACTICAL & THEORY SESSIONS concentrating on the following topics:

Photography basics – aperture, shutter speed, ISO, composition, exposure, focus
Instruction and discussion on capture work flow and techniques
Equipment including the use of filters
Panoramic stitching and equipment
HDR – correctly capturing a scene for HDR processing

Lots of students struggle with composition which will be discussed on the day. There are a few easy rules to follow or even learn and then break to see a significant improvement in your composition and photo taking. In addition to the theory Lee will critically and constructively review your shots through out the day to help finess and refine your photography.

Painting with light
Flash Photography
Location Research
Colour Management & Printing

The practical sessions take place in different locations putting what you have learned into practice and critically reviewing these photos with Lee to improve composition and technique.

VIDEO TUTORIAL CD packed full of step by step video tuition on basic post processing: how to process your RAW files, clean up images, stitch panoramas, process HDR shots, introduction to layers using Photoshop and Adobe Camera RAW.

If you wish to be included in a group course please book your place below or email me if you would like to be contacted regarding future dates or have any questions. Group courses require a minimum of two students otherwise they may be rescheduled. As the courses are run on location they are somewhat weather permitting. Course can be postponed and rescheduled, Lee will make the call on the day.

PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE
Private Courses can take place on any agreed date including weekends and can even be split over two sessions. For an additional $50/person you can bring your friends and split the cost. To discuss availability or to add your friends please contact Lee.

A course pack will be posted soon after and includes the course literature, a CD with video tuition, and a gift voucher all beautifully presented in a document sleeve and ready to give. The voucher entitles the recipient a place on any future dated course. New course dates are added on a quarterly basis.
