I've been seeking a photographic adventure for a while now and exploring the wilderness of Kosciuszko by snow shoe certainly fulfilled that. As this is not an undertaking that should be taken lightly, Tim Wrate a fellow photographer and I hired the services of Mike Edmondson a snow craft instructor and guide. You don't want to get stuck up the mountains without the proper gear or knowledge especially when conditions can change in an instant. So Mike, armed with the necessities (survival gear, GPS, hot chocolate) led the way. Starting from Dead Horse Gap, on the outskirts of Thredbo we climbed into the back country of Koscuisko and up to the stunning Gum Trees.
