South Curl Curl & North Curl Curl

South Curl Curl although a beautiful spot it can be hard to photograph due to those pesky sodium lamps they have to light up the rock pool. Correcting the colour in post can be a real pain. Refuge can be found past the rock pool or further up the path on the beach as this panoramic photo shows.

North Curl Curl has a myriad of photo opportunities including a sodium light free rock pool and a well photographed obelisk made famous by photographer Peter Eastway. Its a popular place to shoot and rightfully so. The headland is perfect for capturing sunrise and a wide vista including the obelisk and rockpool below. It is also perfect for shooting down the beach toward South Curl Curl. Further round and down brings you to the rock pool, great to visit at high tide as the waves flow over the rockpool and down the near side.
