Prints If you would like a different size or different paper please contact us via the contact page. We are more than happy to cater for your needs. We use Epson ‘UltraChrome’ pigment based inks which have been tested to give colour prints lasting 100 years plus without fading. Dimensions are approximate (due to cropping or original image format), refer to the actual image size and do not include the border. Prints come with a white border surround for framing purposes. Each print is titled and hand signed by Lee Duguid. Canvas Printed on premium medium weight, water resist, artist’s semi-gloss canvas with a UV, abrasion, and mould resistant lacquer our canvas prints will easily last for over 85 years without fading if cared for correctly. Our canvas prints come rolled in cardboard tubes for ease of shipping. Rolled canvas prints can be stretched by your local framers for a low cost fee. Approximate stretching costs are as follows: 12 x 18 – $50-70
All dimensions are in inches. Canvas prints are supplied with a border of approximately 3/4 inch for back stapling. The canvas is printed so that when wrapped the photo appears as a block and is visible on all sides. If you would like a different size or different border dimensions (so that the image is not wrapped) please contact us via the contact page. Canvas vs Print What to choose, canvas or a photographic print? There are a few factors to consider when deciding so here are some pointers to help you decide. 1. Photographic paper is able to resolve more detail than that of canvas so close up you can see every little detail. From a distance (1m up) they are both about the same. 2. Framing a photographic print generally can cost more than stretching a canvas. 3. Some feel canvas has a more contemporary feel and like the fact it looks more like a painting with the image wrapping around the sides. 4. Canvas is UV protected where as photographic prints can fade in direct sunlight. 5. Some prefer framed images as they can be tailored to the decor and are more classic. Taking care of your print Prints will last longer and not fade if stored or displayed out of direct sunlight or strong room light. Avoid getting finger prints on your image as these can often leave a permanent mark. When framing, UV resistant glass helps prevent fading. When cleaning a canvas print use a soft cotton cloth. If necessary, use a small amount of mineral spirits and rub very lightly. |
